Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing a LO from Swirlydoos Bohemian Spring kit. This kit is filled with lots of bright summer colors including papers from Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope collection. I did use lots of mixed mediums here to bring out all those bright colors of spring!

Here's a couple close ups of a mix of blooms between lots of textured layering. I add Prima water color note cards in here too which are quite fun to paint.

These darling little bulbs are from Prima's Junkyard findings and they came with the hanging wiring, too cute!

Here's just a few products I used for this page...

Well thanks for having a little peek at my work. Hope you have a creative & beautiful day!! {{Hugs}} Misha

Us

Hello everyone and hope y'all are having a great weekend! Since Mother's Day is tomorrow I made a little MD off the page of my two baby bluejays and me. This photo was from my DDs last birthday party which was so fun for everyone.
So this little frame frame came in the April Swirlydoos main kit. I painted it in MS paints in Beach Glass and Summer Haze. I added a little Fab Scraps chipboard at the top to give it more height. Since this frame will sit on my desk, I added my favorite colors of flowers and embellies. The teal & black butterfly is from Ang's Little Scrap Shop on Etsy.
Well thanks for stopping by!! Happy Mother's Day to all moms!

I painted the metal medallion in Vintaj Patinas in Verdigris and Nouveau Silver.

Today is Perfect

Happy National Scrapbook Day! Hopefully you have had some time today to participate in all the online challenges and fun going on all over the cyber scrapbook community. I know I am inspired to play along and will be posting several projects this week as challenge entries. For today I've created a final LO from the Tiffany's kit and although this is a girly girls kit, I'm taking this in a different direction. I couldn't leave my son out and I just love this photo of him in his little suit. Wish you could see his fancy chucks on his feet, ha ha.
For this page I made my own small butterflies using a new MS stamp and punch and just jazzed it up a bit with pearls and Stickles. These Prima resin clocks were a perfect pair to go with the Blue Fern chippie clock. The Prima wooden butterflies I inked with black coal.
For the clock, I applied a coat of gesso, painted it silver and beetle black around the edges. I used an old prima stamp on the clock and dabbed a little Tim Holtz distressed glitter to give it some sparkle. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appreciate all your comments and hope you have a lovely afternoon! {{Misha}}
