This Makes Me Smile

Hello all! I've been off my blog for a little bit and my projects are piling up! So here's a final one using Kaisercraft's Kaleidascope collection. Lots of fun fresh spring colors here using many mixed medium techniques.

So I just loved mixing black and white with all these bright floral patterns in this paper line collection . I gave the base sheet a coat of clear gesso and misted away. The photos never show how much shimmer these Heidi Swapp & Lindys Mists really shine on the page. Lots of texture layers going on here with the cardboard, drywall tape & threading.

In between the layers are all these colorful prima & Petaloo blooms. The wooden buttons, flowers & resin piece are all Prima dabbed with just a little Viva Inka Gold for shine. The floral stenciling is in a super heavy gesso and checked Prima stencil is formed in a Liquitex heavy body black acrylic.

And how cute are these Prima fountains? This one came colored white so I dabbed some Ranger Patinas on it bring out all the gold tones on my page. Thanks for having a peek!! Misha

Moments Together

Hello all, today I'm sharing a fun spring page using Kaleidascope papers and lots of mixed media techniques. I gave the background a light coat of gesso then misted the page in Heidi Swapps Color Shine in Chatreuse, Primrose, White & Geargia Peach. These mists are so vibrant and pair perfectly with the colorful papers in this collection. I also added Perfect Pearls and Goosebumps to the background.  The stenciled the chevron design in texture paste and used black gesso to add to circle stenciling.

The chrysanthemums are Dusty Attic chippy painted in Timmy Distress paint in Broken China and accented in Viva Inka Gold rub. The torn book page was painted with Luminarte Silks and stamped.

Well thanks for having a peek! This was a fun page to create of my little darlings.  Have a beautiful day!

Love You Maddox

Hello everyone! So today I'm posting a fun LO for the Bohemian Spring sketch challenge at Swirlydoos. The papers here are Authentique and Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope I used several mixed mediums on the page and NO Flowers! I think any page could benefit from blooms so it was a challenge leaving them off here.

Here's the sketch from Swirlydoos:

And a few close ups.

I painted the metal pieces with Ranger Patinas. I gave everything a coat of gesso and dabbed with Tim Holtz distress dabber paints and misted with Heidi Swapps color shine.

I used texture paste to
create the dart board stencil and used more of the dabbing paint in weathered wood and broken china. Between the layers are torn cardboard, drywall tape, Prima wood doors and washi tape. Well it was lots of fun creating this grungy LO and getting my hands covered in "stuff!" Thanks for stopping by {{Hugs}} Misha!

Here's a couple close ups of a mix of blooms between lots of textured layering. I add Prima water color note cards in here too which are quite fun to paint.

These darling little bulbs are from Prima's Junkyard findings and they came with the hanging wiring, too cute!

Here's just a few products I used for this page...

Us

Hello everyone and hope y'all are having a great weekend! Since Mother's Day is tomorrow I made a little MD off the page of my two baby bluejays and me. This photo was from my DDs last birthday party which was so fun for everyone.
So this little frame frame came in the April Swirlydoos main kit. I painted it in MS paints in Beach Glass and Summer Haze. I added a little Fab Scraps chipboard at the top to give it more height. Since this frame will sit on my desk, I added my favorite colors of flowers and embellies. The teal & black butterfly is from Ang's Little Scrap Shop on Etsy.
Well thanks for stopping by!! Happy Mother's Day to all moms!
{{Hugs}}

I painted the metal medallion in Vintaj Patinas in Verdigris and Nouveau Silver.

Today is Perfect

Happy National Scrapbook Day! Hopefully you have had some time today to participate in all the online challenges and fun going on all over the cyber scrapbook community. I know I am inspired to play along and will be posting several projects this week as challenge entries. For today I've created a final LO from the Tiffany's kit and although this is a girly girls kit, I'm taking this in a different direction. I couldn't leave my son out and I just love this photo of him in his little suit. Wish you could see his fancy chucks on his feet, ha ha.
For this page I made my own small butterflies using a new MS stamp and punch and just jazzed it up a bit with pearls and Stickles. These Prima resin clocks were a perfect pair to go with the Blue Fern chippie clock. The Prima wooden butterflies I inked with black coal.
For the clock, I applied a coat of gesso, painted it silver and beetle black around the edges. I used an old prima stamp on the clock and dabbed a little Tim Holtz distressed glitter to give it some sparkle. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appreciate all your comments and hope you have a lovely afternoon! {{Misha}}

Be Your Charming Self

I'm sharing a page I did little while back but is still one of my faves. The pps are from Bo Bunny's Thw Avenues & Kaisercraft Base Coat lines. I used my Gelli plate, a prima checkered stencil and some MS acrylic paints to give the background more interest. The photo is of my sweet, sweet son Maddox who is indeed an absolute charmer!
This chipboard is Blue Fern and came in a 12x12 sheet so I cut out just the right size for my page and painted it in a minty green.
I also used some texture paste and a bubbles stencil to add dimension. Thanks for having a look and hope you get inspired. Have a beautiful day!! Misha

Fabulous Birthday

Hello and hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today I'm sharing another creation from the Tiffany's kit using the lovely Classique paper line. This is my take on the sketch challenge this month over at Swirlydoos. The photos are of my daughter Melania on her birthday two years ago. She is such a girly girl and loves being the center of attention and this is her moment.
Here's a couple close ups.. I used Prima cathedral windows stencil to add some background texture. Lots of lace and layering going on here too.
The misting color is a Heidi Swapp in Bronze with a Prima
jewel flourish over it.
Thanks for having a peek at my blog today. Hope you get a chance to create something beautiful! Misha!

Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend

Hello all and Happy Earth Day! Although my latest project has nothing to do with ED, i did my part in recycling & Eco-friendly awareness today! Well I am posting a LO from Swirlydoos Tiffany's kit which is loaded with the lovely Classique paper collection! This is a kit for the girly girls!
Here's a couple close ups. I  draped some string of pearls and
silver beads to give it a jewelry feel on the page.
Love Prima's phone resin piece! And the chippie is Dusty Attic scroll border  which I painted silver & added touches of Stickles Stardust and added a little stamping. I made this LO for an All About Me challenge at Swirly. Usually we are behind the camera and not the subjects of our pages so it is rare to find myself in photo. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you are inspired and have a beautiful and creative day!!

Breathe it all in, love it all out...

Hello all! Well this is another LO is created from the Salutations kit (Swirlydoos). I sort of channeled the dark side of Prima's Stationers Desk. I absolutely love working with black & whites!

So here's a couple close up.  Lots of paper laying here mixed with twine, chipboard roses, die cuts & mirrors.

Below I misted cheesecloth with Tattered Angels mists. I added a light coat of gesso around the edges of the paper including the Timmy clasp. I picked up the jewelry charms in the jewelry making section at my local craft store.

Well thanks for having a look. Follow me in Instagram to see my page inspirations. {{Hugs}} Misha!

Salutations sketch challenge

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Here's my take on this months sketch challenge at Swirlydoos.
So I used a Prima doily and harlequin stencil with Viva's modeling cream in pearl to add some texture. To accent the reds in the papers I used a shimmery watercolor paint.
And the chipboard scroll is Dusty Attic painted in black nickel acrylic paint.
Thanks for having a look! Hope you have a beautiful day!

You are so Wonderful! A LO from Swirlydoos Lady Belle kit.

Hello all and happy Sunday! Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Well today I'm sharing a project from the LB kit featuring Kaisercraft's Art of Life collection. I really wanted to pull out the copper tones from this kit and used lots of mixed media here.
I painted the Blue Fern chippies with MS acrylic paints in beetle black and rose gold. With touches of sparkle here and there to accent the colors of the page.

The Art words are stenciled in a Ferro Graphite stone special paste. The copper butterflies I punched and embossed from a Tim Holtz copper sheet that came in the kit.

And what would any page be without the lovely flowers from Prima! Thanks for having a peek and hope you have a beautiful day!

Precious

Hello all! Today I'm sharing a page created from the Lady Belle kit over at Swirlydoos. Lots of goodies from Kaisercraft's Art of Life collection which is one of my favorites this year! For the background I used some painting, gesso, stamping and stenciling to give it more interest. All the flowers are Prima of course and the scroll chipboard is Dusty Attic. I painted the chippie in light eggshell color then applied some stamping and inked the edges with soft brown.
